Basingstoke Railway Station Galleries
31 Dec 2023
As part of our ongoing adoption of the Basingstoke Railway Station and our commitment to encouraging art among young people in the town, in October, students from Basingstoke College of Technology displayed their latest work in the Waiting Rooms on platforms 1 and 4.
Their teacher, Hannah Middleton, expressed her gratitude to The Arts Society Basingstoke for organising the exhibition. She said, “The work looks brilliant in the frames, and it is such a fantastic opportunity for our students!”
There are examples of work from a wide range of courses; from observational pencil drawing, to designs for computer games, mysterious landscapes created by blending photography and painting together and sculptured heads suitable for film or cinematic use.
This exhibition will be on display in the waiting rooms on platforms 1 and 4 until the end of January, when it will be replaced by work from The Vyne School. Pop in to see it when you are travelling by train.
