Christmas Decoration Project
Christmas Decoration Project
7 Feb 2024
The Arts Society Gravesend has recently supported the work of a local teacher who runs a club for children that are being educated out of school. The aim of the group, called “Home Ed Club”, is to provide high quality art teaching for these young people who might otherwise miss out. It is run by an Art Teacher who we have worked with before at Meopham Mini Artists.
On 20th December our Community and Young Arts Representative, Helen Beck, who is a retired teacher, helped with the Home Ed Club and guided them as they made and decorated card and paper Christmas Bird decorations. There were other art activities going on at the same time for the youngsters and the children moved from one activity to another with their parents and carers who were also present.
The Arts Society Gravesend provided the materials for the Christmas Bird project as well as our Community and Young Arts Representative giving her time.
