EXTRA EVENT A GREAT SUCCESS

Our first EXTRA on-line Event held in the evening proved to be a great success. A departure from our usual format Host Lizzie Johnston introduced Shakespeare's London, a filmed walking tour by Lance Pierson.  Arranged by Committee member Clive Harries this 55minute video took us through the history Shakespeare's London life and achievements.  A fascinating story amply illustrated by visiting the sites as well as contemporary pictures. 

Well over a hundred attendees enjoyed this novel slant on what life was really like during the great Bard's rise to fame.  Many showed there enthusiastic appreciation for Lance's  excellent and informative presentation with easy style.

We are pleased to be able to use our new-found on-line capability to provide a variety of Arts related on- line experience beyond our traditional monthly lectures.  The next EXTRA event is bringing Venice to Yorkshire.  An hour long, this time live, on- line tour on 18 March with our own expert,Venice based guide, Luisella Romeo.  Please see EVENTS for further details or click HERE
