The Last Waltz: Vienna 1900
The Last Waltz: Vienna 1900
7 May 2023
We were delighted to welcome Gavin Plumley back to Mid Sussex on February 23rd.
His first lecture gave an overview of Vienna around the turn of the century and highlighted the influences that were part of this very important centre.
The lecture about Gustaf Klimt challenged some of the current associations with his work and offered a fresh look at his art.
After lunch we looked at the life and work of Egon Schiele.
Everyone enjoyed a very informative day.
