A Very Successful Visit to Birdsall House by TASDW
27 Oct 2021
On Friday 22 October more than fifty members and guests of TAS Driffield Wolds visited Birdsall House, just South of Malton, a Grade II* listed building occupied by the Willoughby family. The group were taken on guided tours by members of the family, who highlighted the history of the house and revealed many of its treasures. This was a rare opportunity to view this privately-owned house, not open to the general public.
Prior to the visit, the group had an excellent lunch at nearby Burythorpe House Hotel.
The photo of our group on the steps of Birdsall House was taken by member Phil Sainter.
